Comprehensive VS Focused ABA
Comprehensive ABA
3 to 4 Hour Sessions; 2+ Sessions Per Week
Comprehensive ABA therapy tailored to each learner’s goals. This service option is appropriate for learners with a variety of goals across different types of skill, for example: social interaction/group skills, communication, academic foundations, and self-care/life skills. Behaviour support and behaviour reduction plans to be integrated into services as applicable. Comprehensive services take place during daytime hours (8:00 am - 5:00 pm) and can complement a learner’s school schedule by providing individualized learning in areas where additional support is beneficial.
Focused ABA
1.5 Hour Sessions, 1-2 Sessions Per Week
Individualized ABA therapy tailored to each learner’s goals. This service option is appropriate for learners with a smaller set of focused goals, for example: executive functioning skills (e.g., organization, planning, flexibility etc.), functional living skills, social skills, and self-regulation skills. Focused ABA sessions take place after school hours (4:30 pm - 6:30 pm) and is a good choice for learners who are working on grade-level academics and would not benefit from missing school hours.
