Instructor Therapist

Role

Instructor Therapists work directly with our clients to implement the services outlined in the client’s Individualized Service Plan. Activities include the initial assessment of skills, the implementation of skill acquisition programming and behaviour intervention plans, and ongoing data collection.

Education / Experience

At least one of the following credentials:

  • Completed or in process of completing university degree (psychology, ABA, etc)

  • Completed or in process of completing college diploma (Autism and Behavioural Science, Behavioural Science and Technology, Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth Worker, etc.)

Senior Therapists

Role

Senior Therapists assist in the completion of a variety of tasks related to the ongoing implementation of client services, including designing skill acquisition programs, reviewing client data, developing staff trainings, and participating in meetings with parents and professionals.

Education / Experience

At least one of the following credentials:

  • Registered Behaviour Analyst credential OR

  • In the process of completing a Masters program with a specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis

Clinical Supervisor

Role

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the client’s Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) program. At the beginning of services they will meet with the client and their family to identify goals and direction of services. They will then select an assessment, review the results, and develop individualized skill acquisition and behaviour reduction (if applicable) programs to be implemented by the Instructor Therapist.

The Clinical Supervisor ensures that the client receives direct oversight for 10-20% of their hours per month. During this supervision they review programs, provide ongoing training/feedback to the Supervised Therapist, and make data-based decisions regarding next steps. The Clinical Supervisor also provides additional supports such as parent training and consultation with additional professionals.

Education / Experience

At least one of the following credentials:

  • Registered Behaviour Analyst (mandatory)

  • Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)

  • Board Certified Behaviour Analyst – Doctoral (BCBA-D)

  • Clinical Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario with documented expertise in ABA.
