Daytime Groups
The purpose of One Care's group ABA program is to help students bridge the gap between 1:1 support services and independent learning within a classroom setting. One Care recognizes that there are many students who have the ability to learn in a classroom setting that may be falling behind due to lack of supports to help them reach their potential.
One Care's group programming aims to bridge this gap by using ABA methodology to teach necessary prerequisite skills for learning in a group setting. It also focuses on additional support for core academic skills such as reading, writing, math, and computer skills to help students catch up to grade level expectations when appropriate.
Each group is broken down by age and skill level to provide a tailored and individualized teaching plan within the group setting. Each learner receives an individualized assessment completed at the beginning and end of each semester. Each of the 4 groups will contain the same 6 content areas. The topics taught within each content area will vary based on the group and assessment results. The ratio of each content area will also vary based on the group.
All programs include:
Regular on site oversight from a Registered Behaviour Analysis(Ont.)/ Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)
Individualized assessment and ongoing progress tracking
Individualized report summarizing progress within the group
