Our Clinical Team Structure

Our Amazing Team

  • Laura brings over 16 years working with children, youth and adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder to One Care. Laura first started at the University of Toronto studying Criminology and changed course to a Bachelors of Psychology soon after she met her very first client. From that day on Laura fell in love with the chance to make a difference. Laura gained many years’ experience working as an Instructor Therapist and obtained provincial training through Kinark/York Central Hospital. Laura then transitioned into the role of Senior Therapist providing DFO supervision within the Toronto, Central East, and Central West regions, working alongside multiple Psychologists within the ABA/IBI community. Laura knew that was not where she wanted to stop and she wanted to create an even bigger stamp in an individual’s life. Laura and Tammy partnered in 2008 and they continued to build their dreams as One Care. Laura continues to build inclusive environments for children and youth diagnosed with ASD and now strives to build inclusive programs for adults within their communities.

  • Tammy has a B.A. in Public Administration from Ryerson University and a diploma in Corrections. Tammy has been working with children in a crisis and mental health capacity since 1992. Her diverse career includes a decade working within a Young Offenders Facility and over 20 years with Covenant House many of which involved overseeing their Residential Program for homeless youth. Tammy became the founder of One Care when her own son was diagnosed with Autism in 2008. It was a natural fit as she was already experienced in working within a multidisciplinary setting and ensuring that children’s mental health needs and therapeutic goals were being met. One Care has truly become a life passion and purpose for Tammy.
